- Mercusys range extenders usually provide the option to create a new network name (SSID) for the extended network.
- You can choose to keep the same name as your existing network or give it a different name to distinguish between the two.
- Set a password for the extended network to ensure security.
- After configuring the network settings, review the settings you have chosen and click on the “Finish” or “Save” button to complete the setup process.
- The range extender will then reboot to apply the new settings.
Once the range extender has restarted, it is important to test the signal strength in the previously weak areas. Move to the areas with your wireless device and check if the signal has improved.
